TuVida will be celebrating Carers Week, 10–16 June 2024, with a range of activities and drop-ins that aim to raise awareness of the support available for unpaid carers.

Our Young Carers Notts service and our carers hubs in Bridgend, Herefordshire, and the Vale of Glamorgan will be hosting a number of events through the week. 

Young Carers Notts

The team will be hosting a games and picnic evening in various locations starting with Wollaton Park on Monday 10th June, Bassetlaw on Tuesday 11th June and Titfield Park on Thursday 13th June. All sessions will start at 4:30pm and run until 6:30pm. Families are also welcome to attend.

There will also be an Online Quiz taking place on Friday 14th where young carers will have the chance to win Amazon Gift Cards!

On Saturday 15th June the team will be attending a Poetry Festival in Nottingham Centre where the young carers will be showcasing their anthology that they have been working on with poet Jim Morris.

Bridgend Carers Wellbeing

On the 12th June our Bridgend team will be attending a Work & Employment Session with Employability. The session will take place at Angel Street, Bridgend, CF31 4AH between 10:30 – 1pm.

There will also be a Carers Breakfast hosted by the team on Friday 14th June. This will take place at Sarn Retail Park, New Street, Bridgend, CF32 9SH.

Vale Unpaid Carers Hub

Our Vale Unpaid Carers Hub team will be attending Barry Library with Cardiff & Vale Action for Mental Health on Monday 10th June. Our team will be around from 12pm until 2:30pm to talk about any concerns you may have relating to your caring role.

The team will also be the team will be joining the Vale Young Carers Project at the YMCA on the 14th & 15th June 3 – 5pm.

Herefordshire Carer Links

Our Herefordshire Carer Links team will be attending a number of events throughout the week including an Art Walk through Hereford on Friday 15th June in partnership with Carers of Herefordshire.

The team will also be at Hereford County Hospital on Tuesday 11th June between 10 – 12pm where you can pop down and talk about your caring role.
